Kyodo resists to the hurracane
The equipments Kyodo resists to the strong winds in the Garraf. Into the image you may appreciate the effects of the strong winds, with gusts until 120 km/h that blown in some areas of the C-32 Autopista Pau Casals (el Garraf - Catalunya) on the rack where the repeater station and their components are installed. The rack presents importants damages, that contrast with the robustness of the equipments that never stopped working.

Kyodo has been contracted by Retevisión and Tradia Telecom (Abertis Telecom) for providing a radio communication system for the "Diputación de Salamanca".
The network will provide voice communication through therepeaters with link, having PMR technology (80MHz), controlled by tones CTCSS multiples. In addition some repeaters having PMR-Tetra runway have been provided for its future interconnection with the Tetra network of Portugal. The system is composed by seven repeaters with their relative links (one of those is nodal type) and CTCSS multiple modules and three PMR-Tetra runways.

Kyodo has been contracted by Siemens for migrating the radio communication network, localization and navigation system of the Fire Department of the "Ayuntamiento de Madrid".
The project includes the design and setup of the communication server, in addition to the integration of the equipment Tetra presents on the vehicles with the current navigation/localization system. The network is composed by 220 vehicles of the Fire Department, with 76 including fire engine including an extended communication system. Each vehicle owns a communication system based on the new Tetra equipment by Motorola, the PMR one by Grundig (that represent the reduntant channel), a navigator Siemens VDO and the communication management unit that integrates all the equipments. The project included the provision of 4 PMR-TETRA portable runways, for extending coverage into the tunnels and difficult coverage sites.

The solution is based on PMR technology, including the "voter" system for allowing the network to select the better signal for its broadcast through the repeaters. The repeaters are connected with the "voter" control throught the optical fiber links. The system includes the supervision of both radio equipments and fiber optical links. The control centers of Vallcarca and Granollers are connected to this system (the last one through VoIP).

Siemens and Kyodo, as technological partners, won the contract por providing, installing, running and maintaining the radio communication system of the "Sistema d'Emergències Mèdiques de Catalunya (SEM)".
It integrates a sophisticated communication system, based on digital radio, including GPS localization, redundance through GPRS and local WiFi environment into the ambulances vehicles having the following types: "Servicio Vital Básico (SVB)" and "Servicio Vital Avanzado (SVA)". The network is composed by 550 ambulances (100 of SVA type and 400 of SVB type) having a Tetra/GPRS/GPS/WiFi communication system installed, and a coordinator center in "Hospitalet de Llobregat" composed by 49 radio operators sites. In this center the Sitrem® has been installed, the management system developed by Siemens. The system works under the Rescat network (Tetra network belonging to the Generalitat de Catalunya) and the GPRS operator as redundant channel. All the messaging traffic is processed on both channels simultaneously.
